[ Philosophy ] Open Question : Why is Socrates known as the father of western philosophy?
Why is Socrates known as the father of western philosophy?

And why is he afraid of the afterlife?

[ Singles %26 Dating ] Open Question : So I kind of want to ask him on a date?
...or hint to him that I would like to be asked on a date. This guy and I have liked each other on and off for 5 years (we're sophomores in high school). Nothing has ever came out of it. This is one of the rare times that we've both liked each other at the same time. I've liked him for over a month now, and I would really like something to happen this time. We were at a party tonight and we were flirting the whole time (teasing, play fighting, etc). We texted for a little bit after, and I am pretty sure he is into me too. So how do I ask him on a date, or hint to him that I would like to be asked on a date (just something casual)?

We talk in school, our lockers are only a few away and we have two classes together. Tonight was one of the first times we've hung out in a long time.

So how do I do this?
and also...
1. Guys: how do your texts differ when texting a girl that is just your friend, versus a girl that you like?
2. Guys: what type of texts do you like to receive from girls - and what makes it easier for you to understand that a girl likes you without saying it straight up?

[ Higher Education (University +) ] Open Question : OMG! HELP! WHAT SHOULD I DO (i am not being overly dramatic)?
I asked my teacher to fill in a reference form for one of my university applications. I gave her the form without reading it. When she finished filling it in she gave it to me in a sealed envelope with my schools return address printed on the front and her signature on the seal. I thought that it was weird since I did not think that it would be in a sealed envelope. So I opened it..since I have to include other stuff in my application as well. Turns out the envelope from my teacher had to be sealed. It was in the instructions.
What should i do?

A) Get another envelope with the schools return address written on it (i have no idea how i'm going to pull that off) and forge her signature on the back

B) Get another envelope from home and just stick it in (if the university asks I can just say she forget to put it in one)

C) Make an envelope with the schools return address printed on the front and forge her signature on the back

D) Go and tell her what happened (this is terrible because I still need to ask her to be a reference for a few other universities I apply to. If she thinks that I opened it because I wanted to read what she wrote then I would loose her trust and her image of me)

She has included no contact info on reference form either. So does that mean the university probably won't contact her?
