Does anyone else feel the games modern warfare and modern warfare 2 seem to have a hidden agenda that is to desensitize us to things like torture?

ok so ive been wanting to know whats wrong with my stuff..
ok so i have an xbox 360 and i like playing online (of course call of duty modern warfare 2)
i dont know if this matters but i have At%26t internet probably the cheapest one uhh $25 dollars a month i think...i also have the little black modem (Siemens Speedstream 4100) and a Belkin box connecting like 4 computers including my xbox for memory.
So 1st of all my xbox live connectiong is lagging and i have no clue what it is...when i play it it says i have a good signal with like 3 bars but after one minute of playing it freezes and acts crazy while freezing my whole xbox...now it happens with any online game..
also, my internet is quite slow, and acts pretty stupid sometimes.
so i was wondering if i have to buy a better modem, or i have to get a better At%26t plan, or even switch to a different company....CLEAR sounds pretty cool but im not sure...
Whats the problem and/or how can i improve my connection.!!??
